Nerve and Muscle Scans
Chiropractors have used x-rays for years to determine where to treat patients. Science and technology have since evolved and we now offer SAFE Spinal Thermography and Surface Electromyography scans as a diagnostic tool. There is NO RADIATION to the patient and it is completely safe in pregnancy and with children. These tests are repeated every twelve visits in a “before and after” side by side comparison to monitor patient progress.
What is Thermography?
Nerve interference at the level of the spine can create an imbalance in blood flow between left and right sides of the spine. This difference in blood flow creates differences in temperature. The further the bars extend on the graph, the greater the temperature difference…. The greater the stress and tension on the nervous system.
What is Surface Electromyography (SEMG)?
SEMG is a device which measures the amount of electrical activity your muscles release when they are contracting, more commonly known as muscle tension. It is similar in function to an EKG which measures heart muscle activity. This graph helps us check in with your muscular system to identify areas of abnormal spasm.
